On January 23rd, Guangxi University(GXU) held the 2025 Spring Festival Eve dinner for foreign teachers and international students. Prof. Dr. Xiao Jianzhuang, Vice President of GXU, attended the event.

On behalf of GXU, Xiao Jianzhuang extended festive greetings and New Year wishes to the foreign teachers and international students participating in the event, expressing gratitude for their hard work and positive contributions. He hoped that through this event, the foreign teachers and international students could feel the atmosphere of the Chinese Spring Festival, know about Chinese traditional customs, thus enhancing friendship and understanding between each other.

In the morning, teachers and students from home and abroad participated together in the Spring Festival garden party to experience the charm of Chinese traditional culture. The event venue was bustling with excitement. The area for writing "Fu" characters and Spring Festival couplets was crowded with people. Teachers and students picked up brush pens, dipped them in ink, and wrote their best wishes for the New Year. The display areas for making lacquer fans and painting Peking Opera facial masks also attracted much attention. Everyone made handicrafts by themselves to experience the charm of Chinese traditional handicrafts. Traditional games such as arrow-throwing into a jar and ring toss were also popular among teachers and students. Everyone enjoyed themselves in the various activities. After the garden party, Chinese and foreign teachers and students went to the Dongyuan Restaurant together for the New Year's Eve dinner, tasting dishes with Chinese characteristics, and spending a peaceful, harmonious, and joyful Chinese New Year together.

More than 270 foreign teachers and international students participated in the event.They expressed that the event let them to experience the thick atmosphere of the Chinese Spring Festival, feel the care and warmth of GXU, and gain a deeper understanding of Chinese traditional culture and festive customs. In the new year, they will devote themselves with even greater enthusiasm to study and work, contributing to the development of GXU.
